Banana Cheesecake is a Delightful Dessert Recipe
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup sugar
- 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
- 3 packages cream cheese, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ripe bananas mashed
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 0.25 cups powdered sugar
- to taste sliced bananas and chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup of sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup of sugar, continuing to mix until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing just until incorporated after each addition. Be careful not to overmix. Stir in the vanilla extract, mashed bananas, and lemon juice until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Pour the filling over the cooled crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually.
- Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cool, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
- Just before serving, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream evenly over the top of the chilled cheesecake. Garnish with sliced bananas and chocolate shavings if desired.
- Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan. Slice your Banana Cheesecake Bliss and serve it chilled to experience its full flavor!
