Caprese Chicken Bake Flavorful and Easy Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 0.25 cup balsamic glaze
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large baking dish, drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the bottom to prevent sticking.
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper on both sides, then place them in the baking dish.
- Layer the sliced tomatoes evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Next, add the slices of fresh mozzarella cheese on top of the tomatoes.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze generously over the entire dish.
- Scatter the fresh basil leaves on top for added flavor and aroma.
- Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the top of the chicken and other ingredients for moisture.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Once done, let the dish rest for a few minutes before serving.
