Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup ketchup (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Take a small amount of the meat mixture (about the size of a golf ball) and flatten it in your hand. Place a teaspoon of shredded cheddar cheese in the center.
  4. Carefully fold the meat around the cheese and shape it into a ball, ensuring the cheese is completely enclosed. Repeat with the remaining meat mixture and cheese.
  5. Place the meatloaf morsels on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. If using Worcestershire sauce, drizzle it lightly over the morsels for added flavor.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the ketchup with a tablespoon of water to thin it out slightly. Brush this glaze over the tops of the meatloaf morsels for a delicious finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf morsels rest for a few minutes before serving.

💡 Chef's Notes

Arrange the meatloaf morsels on a platter and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a pop of color. Serve with a side of your favorite dipping sauce, like barbecue or ranch, for added flavor.
