Cheese Stuffed Pretzel Bombs Recipe: A Delicious Snack to Savor
Ingredients
- 1 package refrigerated pizza dough (12 oz)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 2 cup baking soda (for boiling)
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 to taste coarse sea salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- On a clean surface, unroll the pizza dough and cut it into 12 equal squares.
- Take a square of dough and place about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center. Fold the corners of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a ball. Repeat with the remaining dough squares and filling.
- In a large pot, bring about 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the baking soda (be cautious, as it will bubble up).
- Carefully drop the pretzel bombs (2-3 at a time) into the boiling water and let them boil for 30 seconds. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place them back on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each pretzel bomb with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your cheesy pretzel bombs warm!
