Cheeseburger Sliders With Special Sauce Flavor Boost
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- to taste salt and pepper
- 8 slider buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese, halved
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- for garnish lettuce leaves
- for garnish tomato slices
- for garnish pickles
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined; avoid overworking the meat.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into slider patties, slightly larger than the buns to account for shrinkage during cooking.
- Cook the sliders on the preheated grill or skillet for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip, place a cheese half on each patty, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
- While the sliders are cooking, prepare the special sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, dill pickle relish, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.
- Toast the slider buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the sliders: Spread a generous amount of the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun, place a slider patty with melted cheese, followed by lettuce, a slice of tomato, and pickles on top.
- Finish with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
💡 Chef's Notes
Serve the sliders on a wooden board with dipping bowls of extra special sauce and pickles on the side. Garnish with fresh herbs for a colorful touch.
