Ingredients

  • 9 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions (usually about 3-5 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and green bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
  3. Push the veggies to the side of the skillet, then add the sliced sirloin steak to the center. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked through.
  4. Once the steak is cooked, pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  5. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and mix gently to combine. Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese on top, cover the skillet, and reduce the heat to low. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Once the cheese is melted, remove from heat. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
