Cheesy Garlic Butter Mushroom Chicken Easy Delight
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- to taste salt and pepper
- for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are tender.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Lower the heat and place the chicken back into the skillet. Spoon the mushroom and garlic mixture over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the chicken and mushroom mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let cook for 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once the cheese has melted, garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
