Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread Irresistible Delight
Ingredients
- 1 large round loaf sourdough or boule
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- to taste salt
- for garnish fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined.
- Place the loaf of bread on a large piece of aluminum foil.
- Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the bread in a crisscross pattern, making deep cuts, but without cutting through the bottom crust. Aim for about 1-inch apart in both directions.
- Using a pastry brush or spoon, generously drizzle the garlic butter mixture into the cuts of the bread, ensuring it seeps into each opening.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously on top and into the cuts of bread.
- Wrap the bread tightly in the aluminum foil to keep the cheese melty as it bakes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Carefully unwrap the foil and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with fresh parsley, and pull apart to enjoy!
