Cheesy Pesto Chicken: A Flavorful Delight for Any Occasion

- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup fresh basil pesto
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the pesto, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken breasts to the bowl, coating each piece thoroughly with the pesto mixture. Let the chicken marinate for 15-20 minutes to enhance the flavor.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken breasts and sear them for about 4-5 minutes per side until they are golden brown.
- Transfer the seared chicken breasts to a baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C) and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Once done, remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired.
