Cherry Chocolate Chip Energy Bites Tasty and Healthy Snack
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 2 cup almond butter
- 1 4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 2 cup dried cherries, chopped
- 1 3 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Stir until well mixed.
- Add the chopped dried cherries, dark chocolate chips, sea salt, and chia seeds (if using) to the mixture. Fold everything together until evenly distributed.
- Once combined, refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes to allow it to firm up, making it easier to roll into balls.
- After chilling, use your hands to form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) from the mixture. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Store the energy bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze them for longer storage.
