Chicken Bacon Ranch Stromboli Golden Flavor Treat
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 6 slices cooked bacon, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/4 cup diced green onions
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
- to taste extra ranch dressing for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle (about 12x16 inches).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped bacon, mozzarella cheese, ranch dressing, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the chicken and bacon mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Starting from one long side, gently roll the dough over the filling, tucking in the edges as you go to form a log shape. Pinch the seams to seal the stromboli.
- Place the seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the top with beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.
- Use a sharp knife to make a few slits on the top of the stromboli for steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Serve slices of stromboli on a plate with a small bowl of ranch dressing for dipping. Consider garnishing with additional chopped green onions or parsley for a pop of color.
