Chocolate Avocado Mousse Creamy and Delightful Treat
Ingredients
- 2 whole ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
- 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.5 cup maple syrup or honey
- 0.25 cup almond milk or any milk of choice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- a pinch sea salt
- to taste fresh berries for garnish (optional)
- to taste mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a food processor, add the ripe avocados that have been peeled and pitted.
- Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, maple syrup (or honey), almond milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt to the processor.
- Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well combined.
- Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness if desired by adding more maple syrup or honey.
- Once you have achieved a silky consistency, transfer the mixture into serving bowls or cups.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld and the mousse to firm up slightly.
- Before serving, garnish with fresh berries and mint leaves for a pop of color and flavor.
