Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Simple and Tasty Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 0.75 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 0.25 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter until well mixed.
- Stir in the brown sugar until fully incorporated, followed by the beaten egg and vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, folding gently until just combined (do not overmix). The batter should be thick but slightly lumpy.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few crumbs.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
