Ingredients

  • 2 pieces ripe bananas
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 0.5 cup crushed nuts (almonds, walnuts, or hazelnuts)
  • to taste sea salt for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them into bite-sized chunks (about 1-inch pieces).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the banana pieces in a single layer.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the mixture is smooth and melted (about 1-2 minutes).
  4. Dip each banana piece into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Use a fork to lift it out, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  5. Place the chocolate-covered banana bites back onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle the crushed nuts over the chocolate while it’s still wet, and add a tiny pinch of sea salt on top for extra flavor.
  7. Once all the banana pieces are coated and garnished, place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 1 hour or until the chocolate is fully set.
  8. Serve chilled or at room temperature, and enjoy your delicious Choco-Banana Delights!
