Chocolate Peanut Butter No-Bake Pie Delightful Treat
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1 cups powdered sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cups whipped cream (or whipped topping)
- 1 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- to taste chopped peanuts and chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Chill the crust in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
- Make the Peanut Butter Filling: In a large mixing bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and peanut butter together until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue to mix until fully combined and fluffy.
- Incorporate Whipped Cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until fully incorporated, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
- Fill the Crust: Pour the peanut butter filling into the chilled cookie crust, spreading it evenly. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- Prepare the Chocolate Topping: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- Top the Pie: Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter filling, spreading it evenly with a spatula to cover the surface completely.
- Chill the Pie: Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours or until set, or overnight for best results.
- Serve: Once set, slice the pie into wedges. Garnish with chopped peanuts and chocolate shavings, if desired.
