Cinnamon Apple Chips Crunchy and Delicious Snack Treat
Ingredients
- 3 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
- a pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Rinse and dry the apples. Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, slice the apples into thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick). If desired, toss the slices in lemon juice to coat them and prevent browning.
- In a small bowl, combine the ground cinnamon, coconut sugar, and salt. Mix well.
- Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets, ensuring they don’t overlap.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the apple slices.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 2 to 3 hours, or until the apples are completely dry and crunchy. Flip the slices halfway through for even baking.
- Once done, allow the apple chips to cool on the baking sheets before transferring them to an airtight container.
💡 Chef's Notes
For best results, use a mandoline slicer for even slices.
