Cinnamon Apple Energy Balls Simple and Tasty Snack
Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 0.5 cup almond butter (or peanut butter)
- 0.5 cup finely chopped dried apples
- 0.25 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, almond butter, chopped dried apples, honey (or maple syrup), ground cinnamon, and salt.
- If using, add the chopped walnuts or pecans and chia seeds into the mixture for extra crunch and nutrition.
- Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until they form a sticky and cohesive dough.
- Use your hands to scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the dough and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is rolled into energy balls.
- Place the balls onto a parchment-lined plate or tray, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Store the energy balls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
