Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup maple syrup (plus extra for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for greasing the baking dish
  • to taste powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Cut each roll into quarters.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and maple syrup until well combined.
  4. Add the chopped cinnamon roll pieces into the egg mixture, gently stirring to coat each piece evenly. Allow them to soak for about 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the cinnamon roll bites into the greased baking dish, spreading them evenly. Pour any remaining egg mixture over the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bites are set and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm with extra maple syrup on the side.
