Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites Easy Morning Delight
Ingredients
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup maple syrup (plus extra for serving)
- 2 tablespoons butter, for greasing the baking dish
- to taste powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish with butter.
- Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Cut each roll into quarters.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and maple syrup until well combined.
- Add the chopped cinnamon roll pieces into the egg mixture, gently stirring to coat each piece evenly. Allow them to soak for about 5 minutes.
- Transfer the cinnamon roll bites into the greased baking dish, spreading them evenly. Pour any remaining egg mixture over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bites are set and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm with extra maple syrup on the side.
