Classic Caprese Chicken Delightful and Simple Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 3 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional for additional flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper on both sides.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Once the chicken is seared, remove the skillet from heat and top each breast with a few slices of fresh mozzarella cheese.
- Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes around the chicken in the skillet. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the chicken and tomatoes, and if desired, add balsamic vinegar for an extra kick.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let the dish rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
