Classic Coleslaw Simple and Tasty Salad Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 cup red cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 cup carrots, grated
- 0.5 cup red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 0.5 cup green onions, chopped
- 0.25 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the green cabbage, red cabbage, grated carrots, sliced red bell pepper, green onions, and cilantro. Toss them together until evenly mixed.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss everything together until the vegetables are well coated with the dressing.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. You may want to add more salt or pepper according to your preference.
- Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld and the cabbage to soften slightly.
- Just before serving, give the coleslaw a good toss again to redistribute the dressing.
