Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 large lemons)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar (optional, adjust based on your sweetness preference)
  • 0 cups Ice cubes
  • 0 pieces Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by juicing the lemons to extract 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain the juice to remove seeds and pulp for a smoother drink.
  2. In a large pitcher, add the sweetened condensed milk. To it, gradually pour in the lemon juice, whisking well to combine until smooth.
  3. Slowly add the cold water to the mixture while continuing to stir. This will dilute the sweetness from the condensed milk and balance the tartness of the lemon juice.
  4. Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness if needed, by adding granulated sugar gradually. Stir until completely dissolved.
  5. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving, or serve immediately over ice cubes.
  6. Pour the lemonade into glasses filled with ice, and garnish each glass with a lemon slice and a sprig of mint for an extra refreshing touch.

💡 Chef's Notes

For an appealing display, serve the lemonade in clear glasses to showcase the bright yellow color.
