Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 whole fresh jalapeño, seeds removed and finely chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 2 Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
  • 1 4 cup honey
  • 1 4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • for garnish chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • for serving tortilla chips

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, add the cranberries and 1/4 cup of water.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about 10-12 minutes until the cranberries burst and soften. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and Greek yogurt until smooth and creamy.
  4. Stir in the cooled cranberry mixture, finely chopped jalapeño, honey, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more honey for sweetness or salt for flavor, if desired.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro if using.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
