Creamy Beef and Shells Easy Comfort Food Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cups medium pasta shells
- 1 unit onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 0.5 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 unit Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then stir in the paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for another 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Lower the heat and add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the creamy beef mixture.
- Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream until well combined and creamy.
- Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for an extra touch of color and flavor.
