Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups medium pasta shells
  • 1 unit onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 unit Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then stir in the paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for another 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Lower the heat and add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the creamy beef mixture.
  8. Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream until well combined and creamy.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for an extra touch of color and flavor.
