Creamy Spinach Orzo Flavorful and Quick Dinner Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 0.25 cup cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and cook the orzo pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Stir in the chopped spinach and sauté until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Add the cooked orzo back into the saucepan, followed by the Parmesan cheese and cream cheese. Stir until everything is well combined and creamy.
- Season with onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon zest. Allow the mixture to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
