Creamy Spinach Stuffed Shells Delightful Dinner Recipe
Ingredients
- 20 large pasta shells
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- for garnish fresh basil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Add the wilted spinach mixture to the cheese mixture and stir until fully combined.
- Stuff each pasta shell with about 2 tablespoons of the creamy spinach mixture. Place the filled shells in a baking dish.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce evenly over the stuffed shells.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells, then sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil.
