Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 0 to taste Salt and pepper
  • 0 as needed Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. In another dish, place the beaten eggs.
  4. In a third shallow dish, add the panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Take each shrimp and first dredge it in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  6. Next, dip the shrimp in the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  7. Finally, coat the shrimp in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  8. Place the coated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with olive oil to help achieve a crispy texture.
  9. Air fry the shrimp for 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  10. Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

💡 Chef's Notes

For extra heat, add more cayenne pepper.
