Delicious Homemade Baked Beans in Minutes Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cans cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup ketchup
- 0.25 cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the drained and rinsed cannellini beans to the pan and stir gently.
- In a bowl, mix together the ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the beans and stir to coat evenly.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the saucepan and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or pepper as desired.
- Once heated through, remove from heat and let it sit for a couple of minutes to thicken slightly.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
