Ingredients

  • 4 pieces ripe bananas, sliced
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 serving ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced bananas with brown sugar and cinnamon until well coated. Spread them evenly in the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine the flour, oats, melted butter, vanilla extract, milk, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well blended. You want a thick batter consistency.
  4. Pour the batter over the bananas in the baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

💡 Chef's Notes
