Ingredients

  • 2 whole ripe avocados
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.33 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 0.25 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch sea salt
  • to taste fresh berries and mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  2. Add the cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), almond milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  4. Once blended, transfer the mousse into serving bowls or glasses.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
  6. Just before serving, top with fresh berries and mint leaves for a pop of color and freshness.
