Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup pepperoni slices (or any favorite toppings like bell peppers, olives, or cooked sausage)
  • 0.25 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 amount Flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into squares approximately 4x4 inches each.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each dough square and top it with a small dollop of pizza sauce.
  6. Take the corners of the dough square and fold them towards the center over the filling, pressing to seal tightly, creating a ball.
  7. Place the formed pizza bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and minced garlic and brush this mixture over the tops of the pizza bombs for flavor and a golden finish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the pizza bombs are golden brown.
  10. Allow them to cool slightly before serving with extra pizza sauce on the side for dipping.

💡 Chef's Notes

Arrange the pizza bombs in a circle on a colorful serving platter, with a small bowl of vibrant pizza sauce in the center for dipping. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for an extra pop of color!
