Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 unit zest of lime
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro or parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, honey, lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper.
  2. Use a hand mixer or a fork to blend the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Ensure the garlic is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  3. Taste the butter and adjust the seasoning if necessary—add more honey for sweetness or more lime juice for acidity as desired.
  4. Once mixed, transfer the honey lime garlic butter onto a piece of parchment paper. Shape it into a log, rolling it tightly, and then twist the ends to secure. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
  5. After the butter has solidified, slice it into rounds or serve it in small portions.

💡 Chef's Notes

This honey lime garlic butter is great on grilled chicken, fish, roasted vegetables, or warm bread. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro or parsley for an extra pop of color.
