Ingredients

  • 1 lb roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 8 mini slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 0.5 cup caramelized onions (1 large onion, sliced and cooked in olive oil until golden)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh thyme leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Heat over medium until warmed through. This will be the dipping sauce.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, lightly toast the slider buns until just browned. Set aside.
  4. On the bottom half of each slider bun, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard.
  5. Layer the thinly sliced roast beef on top of the mustard, followed by a generous helping of caramelized onions and shredded Swiss cheese.
  6. Place the top half of the slider buns on the sandwiches.
  7. Transfer the assembled sliders to a baking dish, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to melt the cheese and slightly crisp the tops.
  8. Once out of the oven, cut the sliders apart and serve immediately with the warm dipping sauce on the side.
  9. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves for an aromatic touch.
