Garlic Bread with Sliced Bread Quick and Tasty Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 slices thick-cut bread (e.g., sourdough or ciabatta)
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- to taste salt and pepper
- for topping grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Lay out the slices of bread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over each slice of bread, covering them well but not allowing the butter to drip off the edges.
- If desired, sprinkle a little grated Parmesan cheese over the top of each slice for an extra cheesy flavor.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the butter has melted completely.
- For a crisper result, switch the oven to broil for the last minute of cooking, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before slicing. Serve warm.
