Garlic Butter Lobster Tail & Scallops Feast Delight
Ingredients
- 2 pieces lobster tails, split lengthwise
- 8 large sea scallops
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- to taste salt and pepper
- as needed lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven broiler to medium-high heat.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Stir in the lemon juice, chopped parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper into the melted garlic butter. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Place the split lobster tails on a baking sheet, shell side down. Brush generously with the garlic butter mixture, making sure to get some in the meat.
- Season the lobster tails with salt and pepper.
- For the scallops, pat them dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, add the scallops and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Drizzle some garlic butter on top while they are cooking.
- Place the lobster tails under the grill or broiler and cook for 8-10 minutes, basting with additional garlic butter halfway through, until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
- Remove the lobster tails from the grill and let them sit for a minute.
- Plate the lobster tails and scallops together, drizzling any remaining garlic butter over the top.
- Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
