Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.25 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
  • to taste Marinara sauce (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped basil, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, onion powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix the ingredients well until everything is evenly incorporated, but be careful not to overmix.
  4. Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about 1-1.5 inches in diameter. Place the formed meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Drizzle the olive oil over the meatballs for added moisture and flavor.
  6. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown on the outside.
  7. If desired, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan while the meatballs are baking, then serve hot, drizzled with sauce on top.
