Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.25 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish with cooking spray or a light coat of butter.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well.
  3. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl, and toss until they’re fully coated in the garlic butter mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the shrimp evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a smaller bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Mix until well combined.
  6. Sprinkle the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture evenly over the shrimp in the baking dish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and opaque, and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving for an added touch of color and flavor.
