- 6 large croissants, cut into halves
- 2 cups diced ham
- 2 cups shredded cheese (Swiss or cheddar, or a mix)
- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
- to taste salt and pepper
- for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
- In the greased dish, layer the bottom with the halved croissants, cut side up.
- Evenly distribute the diced ham over the croissant halves, followed by sprinkling half of the shredded cheese on top.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissant and ham layers, ensuring that all croissant pieces are soaked in the mixture.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the casserole.
- Allow the casserole to sit for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature for the croissants to absorb the egg mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
