Homemade Baked Crab Legs In Butter Sauce Delight
Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh or frozen crab legs (Alaskan or Dungeness)
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 0.5 teaspoon paprika
- to taste salt and pepper
- for garnish fresh parsley, chopped
- for serving lemon wedges
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- If using frozen crab legs, thaw them by placing them in cold water for about 30 minutes or letting them sit in the fridge overnight.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant (do not let it brown).
- Stir in the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let the sauce simmer on low for an additional minute. Remove from heat.
- Place the thawed crab legs in a large baking dish. If the legs are too long, you can break them into halves or quarters for easier handling.
- Pour the garlic butter sauce over the crab legs, making sure they are evenly coated.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to prevent the crab legs from drying out during baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the crab legs are heated through.
- Carefully remove from the oven and take off the foil. Use tongs to serve the crab legs, drizzling any remaining butter sauce over them.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty touch.
💡 Chef's Notes
Arrange the crab legs on a large platter, drizzle some of the remaining butter sauce over them, and garnish with parsley. Serve with lemon wedges for a vibrant and delicious appearance. Enjoy!
