Homemade Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs Irresistible Treat
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- a pinch sea salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and softened butter. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated and a thick paste forms.
- Place the peanut butter mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm it up.
- After chilling, use your hands to scoop out small portions of the mixture and shape them into egg-like molds (about 1.5 inches long). Place the formed eggs onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate chips with the coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
- Dip each peanut butter egg in the melted chocolate, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off, and return them to the lined baking sheet.
- Once all eggs are coated, place the tray in the refrigerator for an additional 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
- Once set, remove the eggs and lightly sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each for an extra flavor kick.
