Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 0.25 cup honey
- 0.25 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
- to taste salt
- 2 pieces green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- to taste sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, sesame oil, black pepper, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Place the chicken thighs in a large baking dish, skin-side up. Pour half of the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, ensuring even coverage.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven, brush with the remaining sauce, and return it to the oven. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and has an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Once done, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving for a pop of color and crunch.
