Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and parsley. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in size, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and lightly golden on the outside.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and sesame oil. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  6. Once simmering, stir in the cornstarch mixture. Continue to stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  7. Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the meatballs and toss until they are well coated.
  8. Transfer the glazed meatballs to a serving platter.

💡 Chef's Notes

For extra flavor, let the meatballs marinate in the sauce for a few minutes before serving.
