Honey Garlic Turkey Meatballs Easy and Delicious Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 unit egg
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low-sodium)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, chopped green onion, minced garlic, egg, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Mix all the ingredients until well combined. It’s best to use your hands for this, but ensure they are clean!
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should end up with approximately 20 meatballs.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the meatballs in batches, ensuring they aren't overcrowded in the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning them occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup honey and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Once the meatballs are cooked, pour this mixture over them in the skillet.
- Gently toss the meatballs in the honey-soy sauce mix until they are well coated and let them simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
