Honey Sriracha Chicken Tenders Flavorful Dinner Idea
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
- 0.25 cup honey
- 0.25 cup Sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- to taste green onions or sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg until well beaten.
- In a third dish, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dip each chicken tender first into the flour mixture, then into the egg, and finally coat it in the breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere. Place the coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, and olive oil until well combined.
- Brush half of the honey Sriracha mixture over the chicken tenders.
- Bake the chicken tenders in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway, until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the remaining honey Sriracha glaze over the tenders for extra flavor.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let the tenders rest for a few minutes.
- Before serving, garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds for an added crunch and flavor.
