Jalapeño Popper Chicken Bake Flavorful and Fun Meal
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 0.5 cup diced fresh jalapeños
- 0.5 cup breadcrumbs
- 0.25 cup green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- to taste salt and pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the chicken breasts in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, diced jalapeños, and chopped green onions. Mix well until all ingredients are blended together.
- Use a sharp knife to create a pocket in each chicken breast. Generously fill each pocket with the jalapeño cheese mixture, pressing it down gently to secure.
- In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil until they are all coated. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the stuffed chicken breasts.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the breadcrumbs are golden and crispy.
- Once done, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
💡 Chef's Notes
Let the chicken rest before serving for better flavor.
