King’s Hawaiian Cheesecake Danish Irresistible Dessert
Ingredients
- 1 package King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 rolls)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 large egg
- 1 4 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 4 cup shredded coconut
- 1 4 cup pecans, chopped (optional)
- 1 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and egg. Use a hand mixer or whisk to beat the mixture until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the crushed pineapple and shredded coconut into the cheesecake mixture until fully incorporated.
- Take the package of King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls and cut a rectangular opening on the top of each roll, creating a pocket. Be careful not to cut all the way through.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, spaced slightly apart.
- Spoon the cheesecake mixture into the pockets of each roll, filling them generously but avoiding overflow. If desired, sprinkle chopped pecans on top of each filled roll for added crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheesecake filling is set.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Dust the warm Danish with powdered sugar before serving for an added touch of sweetness.
💡 Chef's Notes
