Loaded Baked Potato with Juicy Steak Bites Delight
Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- to taste salt and black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 0.5 cup green onions, diced
- 0.5 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Scrub the potatoes and pierce them with a fork 4-5 times. Rub them with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt. Place them directly on the oven rack and bake for 45-60 minutes until the skin is crispy, and the inside is tender.
- While the potatoes are baking, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak pieces with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the steak bites to the skillet.
- Cook the steak for about 8-10 minutes, tossing occasionally until they are nicely browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and set aside.
- While the steak is cooking, prepare your toppings. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with a pinch of salt and pepper. Grate the cheddar cheese and chop the green onions.
- Once the potatoes are done, remove them from the oven, and let them cool for a few minutes. Cut them open lengthwise and fluff the insides with a fork. Add a tablespoon of butter to each potato for extra richness.
- Spoon a generous portion of steak bites into each potato. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, a dollop of seasoned sour cream, crumbled bacon (if using), and sprinkle with green onions.
- For added flair, drizzle some additional olive oil or hot sauce if desired. Serve your loaded baked potatoes warm and enjoy the savory combination of flavors!
