Ingredients

  • 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 quarter cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 quarter cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • 1 loaf crusty French bread for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Let the sauce cook for about 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them evenly in the sauce. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. Squeeze in the lemon juice, mixing well before removing the skillet from the heat.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more hot sauce or spices to suit your preference.
  7. Garnish the shrimp with sliced green onions and fresh parsley before serving.
  8. Serve hot with crusty French bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
