Maple Dijon Roasted Brussels Flavorful Side Dish
Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- to taste Salt and black pepper
- 0.25 cup pecans, roughly chopped (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended to create a dressing.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the bowl and mix until they are evenly coated with the dressing.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a large baking sheet. If you’re using pecans, sprinkle them over the sprouts.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
- Once roasted, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Transfer the roasted Brussels sprouts to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
