Parmesan Garlic Butter Rice: A Comforting Delight
Ingredients
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 2 grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 2 onion powder
- 1 4 black pepper
- 1 2 salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 4 fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain well.
- In a medium saucepan, bring the vegetable broth to a boil over high heat.
- Once boiling, add the rinsed rice. Stir once to prevent sticking, then cover and reduce the heat to low. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
- While the rice is cooking, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Once the rice is cooked, remove it from the heat and fluff it with a fork.
- Add the sautéed garlic and butter mixture to the rice, along with the grated Parmesan cheese, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve the rice warm, garnished with chopped fresh parsley on top.
