Ingredients

  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 2 grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 2 onion powder
  • 1 4 black pepper
  • 1 2 salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 4 fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain well.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring the vegetable broth to a boil over high heat.
  3. Once boiling, add the rinsed rice. Stir once to prevent sticking, then cover and reduce the heat to low. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
  4. While the rice is cooking, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  6. Once the rice is cooked, remove it from the heat and fluff it with a fork.
  7. Add the sautéed garlic and butter mixture to the rice, along with the grated Parmesan cheese, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir until everything is well combined.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  9. Serve the rice warm, garnished with chopped fresh parsley on top.

💡 Chef's Notes
