Peach Glazed Chicken Skewers Tasty and Simple Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 ripe peaches, pitted and diced
- 1 quarter cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- to taste salt and pepper
- as needed skewers (wooden or metal)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the diced peaches, honey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and olive oil. Blend until smooth to create the peach glaze.
- In a large bowl, add the chicken cubes and season them with salt and pepper. Pour half of the peach glaze over the chicken, reserving the other half for brushing during cooking. Toss to coat the chicken well.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally. Brush the reserved peach glaze onto the skewers during the last few minutes of cooking for extra flavor and stickiness. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked and no longer pink in the center.
- Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
💡 Chef's Notes
Serve the skewers on a large platter, drizzling any remaining glaze over the top and garnishing with fresh peach slices and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro or mint for a fresh touch.
